Acast partnering with Spotify for podcast distribution

Acast announced that it is collaborating with Spotify to create a distribution channel for its podcasts. The deal includes integrations within the Acast Create content management system. Podcasters on the platform will be able to automatically submit their shows to Spotify within the Acast CMS, and they will retain the ability to monetize on all tiers of the Spotify ecosystem with Acast’s proprietary dynamic ad insertion technology. Podcasters will also have access to their shows’ data and listening behavior from Spotify directly from the Acast dashboard.

“At Acast, we welcome all new ways of listening to podcasts. We want our shows to be heard as widely and by as many people as possible,” said Susie Warhurst, global head of content for Acast. “This partnership with Spotify will help to do that and push podcasting even more mainstream. We are so excited to be working with a fellow Swedish technology company like Spotify to offer this new distribution channel to our podcasters and welcome a new wave of listeners to our shows.”
