Webcast listening in July remained nearly flat from May’s numbers, according to Triton Digital’s Webcast Metrics Top 20 Ranker, released today. The aggregate of Triton’s top 20 measured clients moved two percentage points downward month-over-month.

Mobile listening, which topped 75% for the first time in May, increased to 76.1% for July.

In the top five Triton performers, Spotify led the leaders on a percentage basis, gaining just one percent over the June report. Market leader Pandora, which always tops the Triton listening ranker, dropped three points month-over-month.

As always, we look at Average Active Sessions (AAS) through the Monday-Sunday, 6:00am to midnight filter, U.S. domestic streams only.

While the month-to-month numbers do not show much movement for June, the month brought five percent year-to-date gain over January. The Ranker’s year-over-year growth shows a whopping 39%, but that include the addition of Spotify metrics, which joined Triton’s Ranker in January. Removing Spotify from the year-over-year view, webcast listening grew modestly by three percent.

AccuRadio is the year-over-year leader among the 20 individual brands for the second straight month, with a 20% lift from last July.

Pandora, has been treading water in audience growth for the past year, and the July ratings showed a modest 5% year-over-year rise in listening.
