UK television company makes audio debut with Audible projects

ITN Productions, a UK-based television company, is making its first foray into podcasting with Audible. ITN has produced four original podcasts for Audible’s new Audio Shows platform in the UK. Its first two investigative, factually-based shows debuted with the launch of Audio Shows.

The Dark Web is a 10-part series led by Geoff White, a former Channel 4 News technology correspondent, and covers online criminal activity. Real Crime offers retellings of actual events based on court room transcripts, police interviews, and eyewitness testimony. Two more programs, titled When The World Listened and Sounds of War, will debut later in 2018.

“It’s an exciting time for audio production, and we are delighted to share these documentaries with Audible members,” said Jonathan Pascoe, head of short form content for ITN Productions. “The Dark Web, fronted expertly by Geoff White, is a fascinating insight into the murky underworld of the internet, with surprising results. Real Crime acts as an intimate examination of some of the UK’s most infamous cases – and our experienced journalists guide you sensitively through the sometimes highly-emotive audio. We look forward to sharing the other series with members, and future opportunities for audio at ITN Productions.”
