TeamRock pairs up with 7digital for continued global growth

TeamRock 7digital canvasTeamRock has partnered with 7digital for delivery of its audio and content. The global resource for the rock music community announced that it would not be renewing its contract with Arqiva in favor of the tie-up with 7digital, which it said would allow TeamRock to make its service even more global.

“Our fan base want streaming, downloads, specific programming, interviews and insight alongside the ability to listen back to what we produce at their leisure,” TeamRock CEO Billy Anderson said. “This new collaboration with 7digital will allow us to provide that service.”

The press release did not specify how big a role streaming would play in TeamRock’s upcoming plans. However, it did not that the radio show will continue and will be supplemented with specialized products for TeamRock’s fans and partners.

7digital has been shifting its business toward streaming in recent months. The company’s 2014 financials demonstrated a notable shift in revenue toward 7digital’s streaming products as interest in consumer-facing digital downloads declines.
