TargetSpot helps Fox News show launch free podcast

Fox News show The Five has launched a new podcast through a partnership with TargetSpot. The involvement of digital audio ad company TargetSpot means that The Five audio show will be free to listeners and supported by advertisements. All of Fox News’ other program podcasts are available only by paid access.

“We are very happy to expand our partnership with Fox News,” TargetSpot Chief Business Development Officer Thierry Ascarez told RAIN. “Fox News will be able to leverage TargetSpot’s propriety podcast ad serving and ad stitching technology, partnerships with leading data partners, and relationships with some of the most active brands and advertisers in digital audio.”

“With the growing popularity of podcasts, it’s only natural we’d expand our digital platform and allow listeners free unlimited access to premium content,” said Doug Murphy, Fox News radio vice president and general manager. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with TargetSpot and connecting top advertisers with one of Fox News’s highest-rated programs The Five in audio podcast form.”
