Slate has made an interesting partnership between its podcast division and Pocket, the Mozilla-built app which offers topical reading collections. Slow Burn’s Leon Neyfakh leaving Slate to go solo with new venture

Leon Neyfakh is departing Slate. He announced his exit in a Twitter thread that was first picked up by Hot Pod. Neyfakh is a reporter as well as the host and narrator of the Slow Burn narrative podcast. He’s leaving to start a new show called Fiasco in partnership with “an innovative platform you’ll be hearing more about soon,” according to the tweets. Continue Reading

PRI partnering with Slate on Studio 360

Public Radio International announced a partnership with Slate Magazine to expand the podcast development and digital distribution for Studio 360. The show is a Peabody Award-winning program about creativity, pop culture, and the arts. Studio 360 launched in 2000 and is hosted by novelist and journalist Kurt Andersen.
