Spreaker launches national radio spot campaign

Podcast hosting and production platform Spreaker announced that it is launching a radio spot campaign for its service. The commercials will run on hundreds of iHeartRadio stations.

The 30-second spots evangelize podcasting as a self-expression opportunity and cite success stories of podcast hosts on Spreaker. Here is one of the two spots Spreaker sent to RAIN News:

The campaign runs through February.

“This groundbreaking radio ad campaign promotes podcasting to commercial radio listeners and the radio industry” said Francesco Baschieri, Spreaker Founder and CEO. “This campaign aligns with our recent launch of our new Spreaker Podcast Radio app for Android that offers a breakthrough radio-like lean-back listening experience for the most popular on demand podcast audio shows.”

The Spreaker Podcast Radio app allows users to build streaming playlists of Spreaker-hosted (and externally hosted) programs.

In October, the company released Spreaker Studio, which we found to be a beautifully designed, easy-to-use desktop production application for making good-sounding on-demand audio. Also that month, Spreaker partnered with Radioline for European distribution.

Rob Greenlee, head of content, was brought on board last April after a stint as CTO at PodcastOne.
