It’s a big week for Rivet Radio, an up-and-coming listening platform for on-demand audio. A new partnership with American Public Media (APM), the second-largest producer of public radio programming, is complemented by new connected-car distribution agreements.

The APM deal brings well-known programs Marketplace (not to be confused with the recently discontinued Wall Street Journal programs), The Splendid Table, The Dinner Party Downloads, and other popular programs to the Rivet experience.

On the auto distribution front, Rivet told RAIN News that it overhauled its Rivet Auto API, which allows for easier integration into digital dashboards. Rivet Radio is currently integrated into Land Rover and Jaguar dashboards.
