Quick Hits: Think like a fan; at SoundCloud’s office; indie streaming outlook

Brief items and worthy reads from around the web:

‘Think like a fan’: “I use the word ‘fan’ in places where a lot of other people use words like ‘end users’ and ‘customers’,” said Bob Moczydlowsky, Twitter’s head of music, at TEDxHollywood. Moczydlowsky’s presentation at the event focused on how artists and their teams should tap into the fan mindset in using social media and developing new digital tools. [YouTube]

Take a sneak peek at SoundCloud’s office:  Creative Boom shared photos from a tour of SoundCloud’s Berlin headquarters. The huge, three-floor office in a former brewery was designed by German architecture firm Kinzo.

Indie streaming outlook: Musician and producer Peter Getty wrote a guest post for Hypebot with an assessment of the current options for indie artists in streaming. He highlighted labels that wrangle subscription deals to connect their artists with listeners in creative new ways, such as Sub Pop’s tie-up with Drip.fm.
