PRI partnering with Slate on Studio 360

Public Radio International announced a partnership with Slate Magazine to expand the podcast development and digital distribution for Studio 360. The show is a Peabody Award-winning program about creativity, pop culture, and the arts. Studio 360 launched in 2000 and is hosted by novelist and journalist Kurt Andersen. The show had previously been a production between PRI and WNYC.

“Now more than ever, arts and culture are critically important to establishing an understanding of our complicated world,” said Melinda Ward, PRI’s chief content officer. “Our partnership with Slate will allow us to bring Studio 360 to more listeners across radio broadcast, digital, and podcast platforms. We’re thrilled to build on the success of the radio program, and help it realize its full potential as a podcast.”

Studio 360 is a perfect addition to Slate’s stable of podcasts,” said Julia Turner, editor-in-chief of Slate. “We’re always looking to partner with smart voices and we’re eager to help Studio 360 find and amplify its digital-first voice.”
