Pandora hires Alan Schanzer for new advertiser development role

alan schanzerPandora announced the hiring of Alan Schanzer as Senior Vice President of Agency and Advertiser Development. With the quickly growing maturity of streaming audio advertising, and Pandora’s history of developing both local and national brand affiliations, this role is key to the company’s 2015 strategy.

Schanzer will report to Pandora’s Chief Revenue Officer, John Trimble.

“Alan will lead Pandora’s collaborations with advertising agencies and brands, providing them with strategic counsel on maximizing the power of Pandora,” a company spokesperson told RAIN News. Schanzer will manage two-way information dialog between Pandora and marketers, feeding back market demand so Pandora can more insightfully develop its ad products.

Schanzer goes to Pandora from Undertone Networks, where he was Chief Client Officer. There, he created customized advertising solutions.

Part of Schanzer’s official Pandora bio includes the Pandora stations he has created (Jam Bands, Working Tunes, Laid-back Beach Music, and Billie Holiday).
