Pandora and Uber roll out rider-side listening

Pandora cube canvas 160wPandora has rolled out the second stage of its collaboration with ride-sharing company Uber. The beginning of their two-part deal allowed the driver version of the mobile app to link with Pandora accounts, so the person behind the wheel could play their own stations during their rides. Today, the rider-side integration has rolled out, so passengers can have their channels play through the car speakers.

They’ll also be able to create new stations and thumb songs from within the ride app, as long as the driver has enabled the Pandora features. Or, if the driver is playing one of their own stations, the music metadata will appear in the rider’s app too.
