One of SoundCloud’s earliest employees has departed the company. David Noël, who began as a community manager and evangelist then climbed the ladder to head of SoundCloud’s internal communications and evangelist, is leaving. He was one of the first seven SoundCloud team members, starting in 2009. According to an unnamed source, Noël will be leaving to launch a new startup.
SoundCloud has been through some financial ups and downs of late. The company recently secured a $70 million credit line, although it had also been rumored that Google was pondering a purchase of the audio company. It also saw two other top leaders depart the company earlier this year.
