On the Move: Two C-suite hires and two new VPs

On the Move tracks hires, promotions, and other notable personnel changes within the online audio industry.

Shazam’s new revenue exec: Audio (and now visual) identification app Shazam has appointed a new chief revenue officer. Greg Glenday joins the company from digital advertising firm Undertone. As Shazam’s newest exec, Glenday will focus on generating revenue growth and leading global revenue strategies. “Greg will help Shazam invent advertising experiences that both inspire the world’s leading brands and amaze our global audience,” CEO Rich Riley said.

New CFO promoted within Marketron: Marketron announced that Matt Wellner will be the company’s new CFO, effective Jan. 1. He was chosen by current CFO Walt Denekas, who will be retiring. Wellner had served as Marketron’s vice president of finance and accounting controller since February 2014. Marketron specializes in business software solutions and revenue management for the media industry.

Univision hires new VP of digital local: Hilda Garcia has taken the position of Vice President, Digital Local Content at Univision. Her purview extends across all TV and radio properties. Garcia’s office will be in Miami. The hire follows Univision’s acquisition of Mark Lopez as EVP of Univision Digital in April.

TuneCore adds new marketing VP: TuneCore has hired Andreea Gleeson as its new vice president of marketing. In this position, she will be tasked with leading multi-channel marketing centered on artist growth and retention, as well as more general marketing topics. Gleeson joins the company from department store chain Lord & Taylor, where she was responsible for omni-marketing strategy.
