On the Move: New leaders at Univision, SESAC; promotions at ASCAP, Xaxis

On the Move tracks hires, promotions, and other notable personnel changes within the online audio industry.

Univision creates head-of-music role with new appointment: Univision appointed Jorge “Pepo” Ferradas as President of the Univision Music division, a specially created role designed to develop and integrate music strategy across the company — including the Univision radio programming team. Ferradas was previously managing director of Global Talent Service at Universal Music Group, and managed Shakira’s career across Spanish-speaking markets.

Membership promotions at ASCAP: ASCAP has promoted two of its leaders to senior vice presidents of membership. Nicole George-Middleton has been with the PRO since 2008 and worked in its Rhythm and Soul division. In her new capacity, she will continue to oversee that department along with the Symphonic and Concert team. The other promotion is for Shawn LeMone, who has been leading the Film and TV unit for more than six years. He will add the Musical Theater and Cabaret team to his plate in the new role.

SESAC’s new international president: SESAC appointed Alexander Wolf as its international president. In this position, Wolf will be tasked with identifying and implementing a portfolio of new multi-territory licensing and service offerings for the music rights organization. He joins the company from his former post as executive managing director at Solar Music.

Xaxis promotes from within for COO role: The programmatic media-buying platform Xaxis has promoted Nicolle Pangis, formerly Chief Revenue Officer, to Global Chief Operating Officer after two years with the company.
