Omny Studio now powering CBS Radio’s podcasts

Omny Studio has entered an agreement to license its platform to CBS Radio. The arrangement grants CBS Radio access to Omny Studio’s podcast hosting, analytics, and social sharing tools. Omny will provide infrastructure for the more than 350 original and on-demand podcasts that comprise CBS’ audio programming.

Before this aspect of the two companies’ affiliation was announced, CBS Radio had integrated Omny Studio with its existing systems and technology stack. Omny Studio enables radio stations to easily record, edit, archive, and distribute on-air content. The Australia-based Omny is exclusively represented by Triton Digital in the U.S. and Canada.

“We’re excited to have our podcasts and on-demand audio content stored on a centralized system of Omny Studio’s high standard,” CBS Radio Senior Vice President and General Manager Elizabeth Mozian said. “The Omny team has made the transition quick and seamless.”

“As the demand for podcasts increases in the U.S., it’s important for broadcasters to have a centralized and powerful tech stack for distributing their on-demand audio content,” said Sharon Taylor, Omny’s CEO. “Omny Studio is not only a powerful tool for managing on-demand content at an enterprise scale, it is a necessary tool for broadcasters wanting to get into the on-demand space.”
