Mixcloud secures European licensing deal with ICE

Mixcloud has secured a multi-territory licensing deal with ICE, a group offering music royalties administration across several European regions. The license for Mixcloud covers the repertoire from PRS for Music (UK), STIM (Sweden), and GEMA (Germany). Mixcloud reports having more than 1.2 million creators and more than 17 million listeners every month.

“We’re excited to confirm a full pan-European deal with ICE,” Mixcloud Co-founder Nico Perez said. “Mixcloud has been supporting artists, songwriters and creators since the start, and we are proud to partner with ICE on this mission.”

“We’re pleased to be partnering with Mixcloud, a service whose interests are completely aligned with ours in maximizing identification of compositions within the long-form content space,” said Tim Rawlinson, head of licensing at ICE. “The service offers a fantastic opportunity for the songwriters and publishers we represent to have their works feature in a diverse range of content and be properly paid for it. The new multi-year, multi-territory deal will help the service to continue to do just that as it grows.”
