Online radio is not just a North American phenomenon — it’s a global one.

Several of the top U.S.-based webcasters in the Webcast Metrics top 20 have substantial (or even majority) international audiences, and lately it’s been rumored that Apple will make international markets a key focus of its iTunes Radio roll-out.

Going in the other direction, several significant online audio brands that are active in the U.S. — including Spotify, Radionomy, Deezer, Last.fm, and AdsWizz — were launched initially in Europe.

Reflecting the global nature of online radio, we are about to host our third annual RAIN Summit Europe, on Tuesday, November 4th. After successful events in Berlin in 2012 and Brussels in 2013, this year we’re coming to London … and I’m writing to encourage you to join us!

If you’re based in Europe (or elsewhere outside of the U.S.), I believe it’s a no-brainer; if you have a business in the online audio field, this will be the most valuable conference you will attend this year.

If you’re based in the U.S., there are two great reasons to attend: (1) You may find new markets for your product or service. (2) You will meet dozens of top executives and be exposed to all sorts of fresh thinking and ideas.

RAIN Summit Europe this year will be held in a beautiful conference venue, One Wimpole Street in the heart of London. The agenda is coming together beautifully and you can see its current status here.)

The attendees at RAIN Summits Europe tend to be high-level executives whom you will enjoy meeting and socializing with. I sincerely hope you’ll join us.

As Number Six (from “The Prisoner”) would say, “Be seeing you!”
