iHeartRadio subscriptions get Apple CarPlay, Android Auto support

iHeartRadio has announced a new development for in-car listening. The company’s two paid tiers — iHeartRadio Plus and iHeartRadio All Access powered by Napster — are both live on Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. These services allow listeners behind the wheel to replay or save songs they hear on live broadcasts, adding a new layer of on-demand functionality to the normally lean-back experience behind the wheel.

iHeartRadio Plus and iHeartRadio All Access powered by Napster formally launched out of beta in January of this year. RAIN News reviewed the two additions to the streaming music subscription field in December. The Plus tier tier is $4.99 a month, and All Access costs $9.99 per month. Listeners can opt to sign up for a 30-day free trial before beginning the paid versions.
