iHeartRadio hits milestone of 1 million users in Australia

iHeartRadio has reached 1 million registered users in Australia. The online audio company rolled out a new app for iHeartRadio Australia in February and also rolled out its podcasting library this year. Other business developments during 2017 included integration with AdsWizz for targeted advertising technology and delivery and a deal for music in retail stores with Mood Media.

“This is yet another great milestone for iHeartRadio Australia in 2017. It has been a huge year of announcements as part of our strategy to become Australia’s audio streaming service of choice,” iHeartRadio Australia COO Geraint Davies said. ‘We continue to experience impressive growth in usage and engagement across the platform and in just 3 months have seen a 350% increase in streaming hours from iHeartRadio’s integration into Google Home. We expect this growth to continue as further integration of iHeartRadio and take up of these technologies continues in 2018.”

To mark the milestone, the company is running a contest where one winner will get a trip to visit the U.S. to attend one of iHeartRadio’s concert events.
