Emmis adopts Triton Digital streaming audio technology

triton digital canvasTriton Digital announced this morning that Emmis Radio will use Triton’s streaming technology platforms to deliver and monetize its digital content.

Emmis will move its streaming audio business into four Triton products:

  • Triton’s streaming player for webcasting
  • The Triton Advertising Platform (Tap) for ad insertion
  • Webcast Metrics to measure the streaming audience
  • Trion’s a2x programmatic ad exchange

The agreement applies to all of Emmis’ 19 FM stations and four AM stations. Emmis Radio is the ninth-largest radio group in the U.S. Emmis recently made news with the release of a pureplay streaming music app called Where Hip Hop Lives.
