Commercial Radio Australia hires new head of digital

Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) has appointed Jaime Chaux to the role of Head of Digital. In this position, Chaux will develop the industry group’s approach and strategy for the whole digital space, including podcasting and DAB+.

Chaux is Head of Content for PodcastOne Australia, the down-under affiliation with Norm Pattiz’ U.S. venture. PodcastoneOne Australia operates within Southern Cross Austerio, the continent’s largest radio group.

Chaux assumes the new position in March.

“There are massive opportunities for commercial radio in a multiplatform future, and I’m enormously excited to join CRA and work across the industry to ensure that radio stays at the forefront of delivering great and innovative digital content to local audiences wherever they are and whenever they want it,” Chaux said.

“Jaime is highly regarded in the industry having worked on initiatives in streaming, podcasting and DAB+ digital radio,” CRA CEO Joan Warner said. “He will help us drive commercial radio forward on all platforms and devices where our members want to be. We are very pleased to have him join our team.”
