Audiocraft launches Agency for podcast production support

Australia-based Audiocraft, which describes its mission as “a community for Australian radiomakers and podcasters,” announced the creation of a new division that offers project talent for professionals in the audio industry — mainly podcasters.

Called the Audiocraft Agency, the new initiative is designed to help connect talent with opportunities and jobs in audio creation. It is focused on professionals from audio production, from executive producers to researchers to sound designers. The announcement includes a roster of project professionals in audio production, writing, editing, sound design, composition, and project management.

The creation of this agency shines a bit of light on the Australian podcasting market on the creative side — there is a getting-up-to-speed aspect to what this initiative represents. Audiocraft talks about bridging a gap between creators and producers: “The audio and podcasting landscape is buzzing with opportunities, but there is a disconnect between organisations who want to produce quality audio content, and the highly skilled makers who can meet this demand.”

“Audiocraft is excited to add the Agency to our list of initiatives that contribute to a more vibrant podcasting industry,” Audiocraft Director and Founder Kate Montague said. “In the last year we’ve seen big shifts for audio in Australia, with growing market opportunities for content creators, media platforms, and businesses. We’re looking forward to being a part of this next chapter and we’re thrilled to represent such a fantastic team of freelancers who share our genuine love of the craft.”
