Apple Music black canvasApple Music has its first UK telecom deal. Six months of free access to the streaming service will be available to new or upgrading customers of mobile operator EE beginning Sept. 1. EE is also promoting the arrangement with a splashy ad campaign starring Kevin Bacon and Britney Spears.

“We’re delighted to be the first UK operator to offer Apple Music, with its incredible catalogue of songs, playlists, and Beats 1 radio,” EE CEO Marc Allera said. “Together we’ll provide customers with an outstanding music experience on the biggest and fastest mobile network in the UK.”

Apple Music has been engaged in an active global expansion, with Israel and South Korea just two of the recently-added markets. It has also been working with other telecoms, going data-free on carriers such as T-Mobile and Telstra.
